Searching for a new way to look at objects is a creative journey that never gets old for me. Forging this piece got me looking at the basic forms within guns, beyond their natural function. Joining the weapons into a majestic creature may help remind us to look beyond the obvious, and find emerging goodness all around us.
Made from disabled firearms turned into RAWtools through MCUSA churches and others.
RAWtools is associated with Mennonite Church USA. This item is being auctioned in June to support the MC USA Justice Fund. In the midst of significant social unrest in the United States, MC USA has launched a Justice Fund to provide a way for individuals and congregations to support MC USA churches that are actively involved in dismantling racism, addressing police brutality, reimagining policing in our society or combating poverty.
The Justice Fund will use donations to provide grants for MC USA congregations that are engaging in their communities to dismantle racism and to build peace.
Dimensions are approximately 24" wide, tall, and deep. Weight is about 35lbs.
